it looks like there is a flight starting on Friday. (the poster said every Friday) 

maybe just for the cargo at this moment. but better than nothing..?!

Lace Monitor lizard - Bunaken

Lace monitor lizard (we think) living around our house.  

he/she comes out when it's very sunny day to get sun?  

we've seen him/her since when it was young and small. 

now it growing up quite big. body must be a meter long.

14Feb2021 Diving at Cha Cha 2 Point, Bunaken Cha Cha

This morning dive at Cha Cha2 point.

water temp. was 28-29℃.  the visability was not too bad. 

current : almost none. so it was very relaxing dive.

they are not in this movie, but we saw barracuda, napoleon fish, black tip shark and some of big turtles as well. 

we don't know the other side of the Bunaken, but no other dive boat around this side,  it was only us whole the time in this Chinese New Year Holiday Season. 

we finished and came up at just in front of Cha Cha. 😎

since last year, two of Yellow-crested cockatoo visiting often around our house.

mission impossible?! Kingfisher

while we having breakfast, a bird dive into out dining area through the hole of extractor fan.
Lucky the fan was not on..

then we heard small "bang!"
it hit window glass, of course....

Riskal pick it up and said "it's dead..".
(no way! no way from morning...?!)

we had still doubt maybe maybe the bird is in shock.

Yap!
 it's recovered in his hand!!!!

that was a quite big size "Kingfisher".

when Riskal released it to garden, the Kingfisher took off immediately, energetically.


the wing color was so beautiful like emerald color, or turquoise.
Awesome!

TV presenter

It's sad news I read that one of famous female TV program presenter Ms.Kumiko Okae died because of the virus.
we knew her because of the TV program "Poka Poka Chikyu Kazoku" we were in 2005.

This Program introduced many Japanese person like me went abroad to work or got married with local or foreigners and startup their own business.

so it was about us and Bunaken Island and local people with us.


The program invited "Madam Dewi" (Dewi Sukarno)  who is former Indonesian president second wife as a guest in the TV Studio.

in the studio, they ate "Dabu Dabu" and "Bubur Manado" we recommended to them.
Ms.Kumiko (presenter) tasted Manado food while they are watching video of our life style on Bunaken Island.

she is almost same age like us. pity.. who knew what will happened 15 years later... ?

our deepest sympathies to her, to all loss.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) will open a new direct route connecting the Philippine capital Manila with Manado

we found the news on Jakarta Post site this morning.
if it's real, that will be very interesting!!

"Philippine Airlines (PAL) will open a new direct route connecting the Philippine capital Manila with Manado in North Sumatra.
(this should be North Sulawesi, not Sumatra by the way.)

“The good news of the opening of this direct route comes following a meeting with PAL management,” North Sulawesi Tourism Agency head Henry Kaitjily said in Manado on Wednesday.

The inaugural flight from the Philippine capital will fly through Davao City, known for its tourism and as one of the business centers of the southern part of the country. "
