Big size dolphin we met the other day.

middle of rainy season.

we met very relaxed dolphins in channel between Bunaken Island to Sulawesi main land.
They were quite big size compare to the dolphin usually we see around here.

Beautiful creatures... they make us very happy us usual and  bring such a peaceful feeling!

Dover Strait Swimmer TERUKO with "Uminchu Club" student came.

she held the record in Japan for swimming across the channel from Dover to France. 
(as the first Japanese)

She came with her followers, Students of "Uminchu Club" again (Ms.Teruko is the representative of this club).

The weather was not good though swimmers enjoyed swimming & freediving around Bunaken and Siladen island.

They all amazed by coral beauty of Bunaken still keeping the good conditions.💖

This morning, sun came out finally!

so much rain until yesterday.

This year's rainy season is really heavy.
it's like the unforgettable hard rainy season we had when we moved to Bunaken 20 years ago.
maybe weather is also coming back with some kind of cycle??

Manado, Sulawesi main land was flooded the other day, though Bunaken was OK even with hard rain, we went diving as usual.

Hopefully better weather to start new year.

These few days west side of Bunaken had huge wave.
we saw so many boats on this side escaped from big wave at Lian beach side.
we heard even Manado harbour was closed for a while due to this conditions.

but since this morning, weather getting better, so as the condition of the sea.
at this moment in the late afternoon it's still small rolling wave. hopefully we can have good weather through this holiday season.

A group of Midnight snappers swam around us.
In the deep water, we also saw a group of Jackfish, which was bit too deep to take photo though.

Dry season?!

in Japan, lot of place are suffering by strong typhoon, instead here in Cha Cha,

almost no rain for 3 weeks.

Though hibiscus looks happy having lot's of flower, palm tree definitely need rain!!

The prices for anything imported are very expensive here in Indonesia.
so we bought few seed of vegetables from Italy if we can start to glow our own.
the picture is sprout of bell peppers which is Agnes's 3rd trial to plant this type.
 ummm let's see and hope.😊

A price of bell pepper is US$10 each?? in the local supermarket.

for some reason the yellow one is more expensive than the red one.

Just let you all know that Bunaken Cha Cha was not affected by the earthquake today that happened in Central Sulawesi, thanks to everyone who contacted us asking if we were ok ........felt nothing.

Night Dive in Timur2 point, Bunaken Island

A wonderful night dive we had.

the scene we never see before - a crab giving birth!!!  (you can see at end part of the video)

unfortunately I was too close to the crab, so it's became out of focus on the crab itself, but can you see all tiny new born babies??

Our bird departed to heaven yesterday.

Our bird went to heaven yesterday.

We are not the type of people who likes to keep animals / birds caged but we often got them as a gift from friends or staff or people we know, this bird was one of them.

These almost 4 years he was with us, he gave us some good memories especially the day when he escaped from his cage and flew back to the cage three days later.  

He had good strong voice, could resembling so many different birds around Cha Cha. We assume he tried to communicate with them. 

Two days ago, a mysterious things happened at late night - normally he suppose to be already asleep that late, but he called with perfect voice just like a “Tarsius monkey" (Sulawesi spectrum - wild monkey live around Cha Cha) only for one time.

We are wondering and hoping that's not going to be a last message to his evening time friend Tarsius. 

Unfortunately that was it.  

Due to few days of stormy nights, (even I got extremely cold at night), our old cute bird could not cope with cold wet weather I assume.
